"Arts in Education" refers to teaching and learning that weaves engaging and challenging visual and/or performing arts learning into all academic disciplines from language arts and social studies to math and science, from foreign languages to physical education.
Educators and artists work as peers to help students develop a rigorous inquiry process whereby they explore, internalize and reflect on all content areas. A Teaching Artist is a professional artist with training and experience in an art form and with knowledge of teaching practice.
