NYFA MARK Program

CAP has joined forces with New York Foundation on the Arts to participate in a statewide program of professional development workshops for visual artists.  CAP is one of six sites throughout the state to provide these workshops to 10-12 artists each (66 artists statewide). The program runs from January through June, culminating in a trip to NYC for all 66 artists to present their work to an invited audience of curators and gallery owners.  The program will be offered again in 2009.

Regional Literary Survey

CAP is heading up a Literary Needs Assessment survey for an eight-county region that includes Tompkins County, funded by New York State Council on the Arts. The goal of the survey is to find out what literary services are needed and desired by artists, arts presenters, and audiences in the Finger Lakes region and to gather together a consortium of literary artists that can submit proposals to NYSCA for regional literary events.

The survey will also result in the creation of a “Directory of Finger Lakes Literary Artists and Presenters”.  It will be used as a resource by presenters and potential grant makers within the region and the state.
